My Credentials

  • I am a humanistic person-centred integrative therapist. This means I draw on a range of modalities to find what works best for you. These include Psychodynamic approaches such as Transactional Analysis, Gestalt Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) Trauma - Informed approaches (Babette Rothschild), Self-Compassion and Somatic approaches (Tara Brach, Peter Levine, Kristen Neff). If you’re interested, I can tell you more about this as we work together.

I value inclusivity and social justice is at the heart of my practice. I understand that not everyone experiences the world the same way because of social and political inequalities. My previous experience in Equality, Diversity & Inclusion training and research informs my work.

    I am a LGBTQIA-affirming and neurodivergent-affirming therapist.

All of this means that I accept you as you are and work to support your lived experience, however I can.

  • I trained for 4 years with the Northern Guild of Psychotherapy & Counselling in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The Northern Guild is a respected and trusted training institute and has been training therapists for over 40 years. My training required that I undergo personal therapy and supervision, so you can trust that I am an ethical and safe practitioner.

  • I am registered with the following professional bodies: BACP, NCPS and as a Trainee Member with UKCP as I work towards their accreditation. This means you can trust that I follow the relevant ethical guidelines and govern my practice safely and professionally.

I am ICO registered and GDPR compliant. This means I handle your data responsible and ethically and within the required legal parameters.

I am fully insured to practice.
